CULTURE DESTINATIONS NEW YORK Depuis le début des années 1990, l’artiste Nari Ward a développé un travail sculptural en accumulant des quantités impressionnantes d’objets et de matériaux dans des installations aux formes toujours plus surprenantes. Empruntée à la fois à des pratiques artisanales héritées de la Jamaïque de ses origines et de la culture populaire de Harlem où il vit depuis vingt-cinq ans, cette expression artistique explore aussi de manière plus subtile les tensions entre tradition et transformation.
