The XD Brake Pad range has been thoroughly tested on dynamometers and noise measuring rigs before being put through their paces on test tracks and extended operations tests to ensure a perfect and effective operation every time. This is a new addition to the Brembo Aftermarket range applicable for some of the latest generation Land Rover models. Manufactured in the same plant and on the same assembly line as the OE, the disc is made up of a high-carbon cast iron braking surface and a steel hat, which are connected by mechanical interference. These technical features allow for a weight reduction of up to 15% compared to its integral counterpart of the same size. Since the brake disc contributes to the unsprung mass of the vehicle, reducing the weight ensures an increase in the available force and therefore improves handling and reduces consumption and emissions of the vehicle. 201
