To celebrate Valentine’s Day, several Air France crews got together to pass the Il y a de l’amour dans l’air (There’s love in the air) torch to passengers and organised sales for the company’s staff. This successful fundraiser benefited Make a Wish, a charity that helps sick children. A cheque for €4,470 was officially presented to Mégane Poulain, the charity’s representative, on April 4, 2023. And congratulations to Hubert, 18, who received the gift he’d been dreaming of, thanks to this outpouring of solidarity: a downhill mountain bike! Running to bring smiles and laughter to children at the hospital 500 employees took part in the 10-km run in Paris on June 11, 2023, wearing Air France colours. Every kilometre ran was converted into euros donated to Rire médecin. With the donations it receives, this nonprofit employs and trains hospital clowns. Its goal, which touches us all, is to use humour, poetry and fantasy to put smiles back on the faces of children in the hospital and their parents. The company’s runners covered 5,000 kilometres and raised €5,000. The sum was presented by Anne Rigail, Air France CEO and Chair of the Foundation, to Clotilde Mallard, Director of the nonprofit. Health equipment donated to NGOs Sprays, hygiene kits, plexiglas protective barriers, gloves, wipes and masks: in October 2023, Air France employees provided personal protection equipment for Covid-19 to charitable organisations and NGOs. Three of our Foundation’s partner nonprofits received donations: Care France, a long-standing partner of the Foundation, Protection civile and Les Enfants du Noma, a humanitarian organisation that helps children suffering from Noma, a necrotising infectious disease that destroys the mouth and face.
