Always at the service of future generations. read more read more A Foundation that Adapts and Innovates At the meeting on September 23, 2022, the Board of Directors approved a revision of the Corporate Foundation’s Articles of Association, which had been little changed since its creation in 1992. We selected new charitable goals and reduced the renewal period. The Foundation remains “a not-for-profit legal entity with an international scope at the service of future generations.” Its purpose is still to “initiate, design, coordinate, implement and finance initiatives and contributions of public utility.” The priority charitable targets were specified and extended in 2022. Our goal is “inclusion and professional integration of children and young people through initiatives and contributions in education, training, and cultural, athletic and artistic development.” Our work is primarily aimed at underserved, sick, disabled and very poor communities. The Articles of Association, which were amended in 2022, also include as a priority “increasing environmental awareness and commitment to the climate, including by supporting more eco-friendly tourism, through initiatives and contributions in support of education, training and awareness-raising activities to build a better planet for future generations.” Lastly, the Articles of Association added the following mission: “humanitarian aid through initiatives and contributions in emergency humanitarian relief for civilian populations affected by natural disasters, health crises or conflicts.” Another new feature is that the Articles of Association adopted in 2022 now set the Air France Foundation’s renewal period at three years, instead of the five years since its creation in 1992. The Foundation is renewed from 1 January 2023 to 31 December 2025. The members of the Board of Directors, which come from the founding, employee representatives’ and external personalities’ colleges, are also appointed for a three-year term. SCROLL
