Sara Andrés In collaboration with Paralympic athlete Sara Andrés, world-record holder for the long jump and one of our values ambassadors, we aim to encourage more comprehensive sun protection and promote the importance of checking moles. World Skin Cancer Day Sara’s case is special because she faced down skin cancer a few years back. This makes her message even more meaningful. “Sportspeople need to reapply sunscreen. The sun looks like it’s all health and life, and it is, but you need to protect yourself from it, too.” Sara had her moles checked by dermatologist Lourdes Navarro, who adds, “Every day the skin absorbs solar radiation that damages it and has a cumulative effect. It is crucial to prevent this damage by using sunscreen”. Sara Andrés was keen to remind us of the importance of preventing the risks of sun exposure, particularly for athletes like herself who spend a good part of their day training outdoors.
