Agency: W&Cie / Client: Paris 2024 The pictograms of the 70 Olympic and Paralympic sports are integral to the Games’ identity. Initially created in 1964 for signage purposes at the Tokyo games, they have now become powerful identity markers, eagerly awaited by fans. Paradoxically, for over six decades, only male silhouettes have been featured, leaving out women and granting special treatment for Paralympic athletes. How can we contribute to making these the most equal and inclusive Games through our pictograms? How can we invite all athletes, both amateur and professional, to recognize themselves and become even more involved in their sport? How can we make this collection an expression of sports for all?
