The goal is to understand material growth and structure at the most fundamental level. discoveR LPICM website > discoveR LPICM website > This starts with the synthesis of new materials, which may be nanostructured thin films that are either one or two-dimensional. These structures may be based on silicon, carbon, or even hybrid materials. These materials are then incorporated in devices (electronics, optoelectronics, photovoltaics etc.) to observe their growth in real time at the nanometer scale,or to study them through numerical modeling.
