DOPORUČENÁ POKLÁDKA ODPORÚČANÁ POKLÁDKA LAYING RECOMMENDATIONS Špeciálne pre mozaiky: Pre dosiahnutie efektu mozaiky sa musia jednotlivé kusy umiestniť bez medzier a spojiť škárovačkou v rovnakom odtieni. Pokladanie mozaiky JIKAje jednoduché a rýchle, nevyžaduje krížové spoje. Krok 1: Umiestniť kusy mozaiky bez medzier. Krok 2: Špárovať všetky kusy a očistiť celý povrch od nadbytočného materiálu. Exkluzívna povrchová úprava mozaiky zaručuje dokonalú absorpciu špár, bez toho aby bolo nutné použiť ďalšie zvláštne materiály. Špeciálne pre série s farebnými variáciami: Pre dosiahnutie dokonalého vzhľadu a docenenie všetkých kvalít týchto sérií JIKA odporúča ešte pred pokládkou premiešať viac krabíc daného obkladu. Špeciálne pre umiestnenie schodoviek: • Podklad musí byť dokonale čistý a hladký. • Začnite pokládkou odhora dolu. Nenechávajte žiadne miesta bez cementového lepidla. • Vyplňte kompletne medzeru medzi stenou a spodnou hranou schodovky. Correct, careful laying of JIKA’s ceramic products is vital for taking full advantage of their technical characteristics. For this reason, the following points are necessary: 1. Check the calibre, tone and quality of the product before laying. 2. Choose appropriate installation tools (notched trowel, white rubber hammer, suction grip and rubber trowel for pointing). 3. Ensure that the surface on which the material is to be laid is level, clean and insulated from damp. 4. Pay special attention to the type of adhesive to be used (consult with your supplier on which adhesive to use), since each type of ceramic requires the appropriate adhesive. (Standard of reference: EN-1348). 5. The professional responsible for laying the material must choose the appropriate joints between pieces and the perimeter joints to account for structural movements and dimensional tolerances of the product. JIKA recommends laying the tiles with a minimum joint of 1 mm and checking the box for other parameters (measurements between calibres, recommended joint). 6. Do not use coloured pointing material containing black ash (micronised carbon) or dyes, which can hinder the cleaning of the tiled surface. 7. Clean off excess pointing material from the surface of the tiles when it is still fresh, using a sponge and clean water; never use implements that could scratch the tiles, such as metal spatulas or abrasive scourers. Always follow the recommendations given by the adhesive manufacturer. 8. Once the tiles are laid, avoid working in the tiled zone (plastering, painting, placing scaffolds/ladders, projecting metallic fragments from disc grinders, moving tools, dragging heavy objects, moving remnants of abrasive building materials, etc.). If this cannot be avoided, always protect the tiles and joints to prevent problems of cleaning or deterioration. The materials used for this protection must not be harmful or contain chemicals that could damage the tiling. Special for mosaics: To achieve the mosaic effect, the pieces must be laid without separations between them and must be completely pointed. JIKA mosaics are quick and easy to lay as they do not require crosspieces. Step 1: Lay the pieces without separation. Step 2: Point all pieces and clean the surface of excess material. The exclusive finish of the mosaics guarantees perfect absorption of the pointing material, no special materials being required. Special for the shade variation series: To obtain an excellent aesthetic finish in terms of design and to appreciate all of its qualities, JIKA recommends mixing tiles from the greatest possible number of boxes before commencing installation. Special for laying steps: • The substrate must be perfectly clean and smooth. • Begin laying from the top downwards. • Do not leave any zones without cement glue. • Fill completely the gap between the wall and the lower edge of the step. • Always place the riser at the same level as the step. • It is recommended to protect the step surfaces while working. • Avoid direct blows to the steps both during and after installation. Special for laying rectangular formats: When laying rectangular formats irregularly, never do so in the centre of the piece. In order to maintain an aesthetic appearance and avoid difficulties in installation, we recommend that irregular laying does not exceed 25% of the side to which it is applied. For rectangular and large formats (side larger than 60 cm) the use of a leveling system such as wedges are recommended to ensure proper installation. 160— 161 eicámrofni | ecamrofni ékcinhcetsliated lacinhcet
