A paradigm shift since 2011 for the 100% subsidiary structure of the Sodiaal group specialized in infant nutrition and which continues to adapt to meet the needs of the adult nutrition market. Positioned as a contract manufacturer for these two markets, Nutribio relies on its expertise in formulation – thanks to 35 years of experience – and on the production. “We have done what the big market makers do not wish to do, namely customized formulations and/or in mdeium size series”, explains Thomas Lacronique, business development director. Nutribio (167 M € turnover, 85% export, 400 people) has two production sites – that of Montauban (in Tarn-et-Garonne), dedi- cated to powder forms (two spray-drying-tower) and the one in Doullens (Somme) – powder mix- 095 tures and their packaging (several lines dedicated to metal boxes, lines for sachets), bar production (versatile lines for cereal bars or fi llings). Results of this industrial structure: “we propose a com- plete offer for baby and nutritional powders, bars, ready-to-drink beverages”. Relying on this range, Nutribio displays its ambi- tions. Several markets are targeted in adult nutri- tion: seniors, sports, from “healthy lifestyle” to more specifi c targets such as diabetic nutrition. Whether powder formulae or bars or for liquids on other sites of the Sodiaal group. “We arethinking about innovative concepts in these elds”, adds Thomas Lacronique, low glycemic index nutri- tional products for seniors, clean label formulas for sportsmen for example, or for weight control. In its bars activity, Nutribio has set up a dedicated team that is surfi ng on the main market trends such as gluten-free, high-protein, sugar-free. Regarding the clean label, consumer demand that forces manufacturers to question themselves, Nutribio has responded with its True Green technology,® “a genuine innovation” that permits the demin- eralization of the milk and preserving the organic label all process long.
