A TRIP TO GALICIA, SPAIN Andrea mother of Teo, 7, Olivia, 6, and Mauro, 3 Andrea lives in Galicia with her three children, Teo,Olivia and Mauro, her youngest. Her babies’style can be summe up with twod adjectives:natural and authentic. Her main concern is the material. She goes for organic materials like cotton, pima cotton, linen, wool and soft fabrics likemerino wool and Egyptian cotton. Then, she prefers soft colors and unisex Natural and Authentic pieces that can be passed on from one baby to another without going out of fashion. Finally, Andrea inspects the comfort level of her babies’ clothes. Is the piece pleasant for her child and practical for multiple changes? Shirts with loads of buttons and denim are out of the question: neither comfortable nor practical! She has favorite pieces for each season. In the summer, she likes lightweight cotton, linen or muslin dresses and little bonnets to protect the baby from the sun. In the winter, she adds snowsuits and handmade pieces to the wardrobe. Her children’s grandmothers have knitted bonnets and jumpers, which are then passed on from child to child. These are among her favorite pieces. For their little feet, she chooses supple organic leather shoes that mould to the foot and don’t bother the baby. Andrea admits that she also loves wool and cotton blankets: “In Galicia, you have to think ahead. We live on the coast, so I never leave the house without them.” Her favorite brands at Smallable: Bobo Choses, La Langerie, Bonnet à Pompon, Maileg, Louis Louise, Veja… FOLLOW HER ON INSTAGRAM @TEOYOLIVIA
